Opening the Nursery Management System Beta
After months of development and testing with our initial beta partners, we're ready to welcome more early years settings to the Early Tree Nursery Management System beta.
What's in the beta
The current beta includes:
- Child profiles and safeguarding-ready records - comprehensive child information with full audit trails
- Rooms, groups, and capacity management - clear visibility of ratios and occupancy
- Attendance and daily logs - fast check-in designed for busy mornings
- Observations linked to EYFS - capture observations on any device, linked to development areas
- Activity management - plan and track activities mapped to the areas of learning
- Framework support - Development Matters, Birth to Five Matters, or custom frameworks
- Parent portal - two-way communications and digital consents
What "beta" means
We call it a beta because we're still actively developing based on feedback from real users. When you join the beta:
- You get guided onboarding from our team
- You have direct access to give feedback and request features
- Your input shapes what we build next
- You benefit from new features first
We're not looking for settings to test buggy software. We're looking for settings who want to be part of building something genuinely useful.
How to join
We're accepting applications from nurseries and pre-schools across England. Request an invite and tell us about your setting.
We'll review each application and get in touch to discuss whether the beta is a good fit for you right now.

Over the coming months, we'll be adding:
- Enhanced parent features and mobile apps
- Richer analytics and progress reporting

- More automation for common tasks
